Your support will have tremendous impact on:

Subsidized patient care

  • Many people with cancer deal with the reality of a reduced income and increased expenses. Although integrative therapies can provide much needed support for people living with cancer and the effects of cancer treatments, these services are not covered by provincial healthcare funding and therefore not accessible to many Canadians. Your donation will help provide integrative cancer support to a patient in need.

Patient programing and resource materials

  • The CCNM-ICC regularly offers educational webinars as well as ongoing mind-body medicine programs such as our mindfulness and yoga classes. All of our programs are not only available to our patients, but anyone dealing with the effects of cancer. Your support will ensure the development and delivery of additional educational and supportive programing to help those who need it most.

Supporting education through residencies

  • The CCNM-ICC offers one of only a handful of residency programs in Canada for Naturopathic Doctors with a special focus in integrative cancer care. Our residency program is approved by the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (ABNO) and graduates are eligible to apply for Fellowship status with the ABNO. Your donation will allow us to continue providing this important training opportunity to the next generation of naturopathic doctors.

Research

  • Research in the field of integrative oncology is greatly needed in order to discover how best to use natural therapies to safely and effectively support people living with cancer. Your contribution will help fund our active research program which is jointly run with the Patterson Institute for Integrative Oncology Research and other research partners. Together we conduct clinical trials, observational studies, and synthesis research relating to complementary and integrative medicine for cancer.
