Most people come to therapy with a desire to feel better and to have a life that feels worth living.

Whether you are considering therapy for health challenges, a life transition, loss and grief, a desire to connect with yourself on a deeper level, relationship struggles, stress, or to engage in treatment of conditions such as, depression, anxiety, a personality disorder, suicidal ideation or trauma; my approach to care is client-centred, holistically oriented, trauma-informed and utilizes adaptive therapeutic approaches to respond to the uniqueness of my clients.

People dealing with cancer may have symptoms of post-traumatic stress at any point from diagnosis through treatment and even after treatment is complete. Trauma-informed psychotherapy offers an opportunity for individuals to intentionally engage in a process of healing in a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment. Surviving our experiences often means we have been in touch with feelings of helplessness and/or powerless, which may have manifested in emotional, physical and behavioural adaptations in response to these overwhelming experiences. We may have become undeniably aware of our vulnerability and the ways we have been compromised.

In healing, we find ways to regain a sense of safety and re-establish or discover a relationship with who we are; connecting with our strengths and innate capacity for resilience.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP).

My education is in Existential Integrative Psychotherapy, with additional training in Brainspotting, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Complex Trauma Treatment (Sensorimotor), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy (Level 1 & 2), Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Relational, Schema-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Traumatic Incident Reduction. I draw from many additional modalities to create an approach that fits the unique needs of my clients.
